Will Wright, creator of The Sims (and, more importantly, SimCity), has leaked his next big project to IGN: a television show tentatively titled The Creation Project.

The series, a collaboration with producer Albie Hecht, former president of SpikeTV and Nickolodeon, plans to source its storylines from viewers through an American Idol-esque voting process.  In addition, Wright is developing a “StoryMaker Engine” software/app/platform that would allow viewers to quickly create and upload storyboards for mass consideration.

It makes sense that the team is working with Current–could this be the “Crowdsourced TV” Al Gore vaguely alluded to at a recent NY conference?
