We’re fans of crowdsourcing, though we’re not always fans of the way the term is misused. To us, crowdsourcing strictly refers to tapping a wide collective to collaboratively solve a problem or work on a project. It’s not holding design contests for a company’s logo (ahem, Victors and Spoils) or developing an un-moderated forum with no goal or interactive. That’s why we’re stoked about Shanzai Studios idea to crowdsource product ideas, then integrate community feedback to develop original products. THEN, they manufacture the products. Cool, right?
