Any Travel Channel Academy Alumns Out There? ≤crickets≥
I’m trying to decide how sarcastic I want to be about this. Part of me is like, cool Discovery Networks, get those New York Film Academy* dollars, running fantasy-journalist-camp, for every naive moron who thinks being a travel journalist is actually a feasibly to avenue to living out dreams of professional wanderlust. I mean, its only a waste of $2000.
Another part of me, who has worked with dozens of so-called “travel journalists”, many of whom have been stringers/freelancers for the Travel Channel, and never once have I heard of any of them talk about their travel academy-honed skillset. They all earned their chops the old-fashioned way, FUCKING HUSTLING.
So yeah, I stumbled upon this website, thought it was funny and wanted to share it. If anyone thinks my cynicism is unjustified, I’d love to hear why.
*NYFA is the worlds most popular, shitty film school, with campus (and ads) around the globe, taking advantage of over-privileged wannabes of all ages.
