Really dig Wale… Really. Dude has a fresh sound, really speaks to the grown hip hopper in me while playing to a slightly younger generation that grew up on a post shot in the mouf 50 cent. But even though this NIKE name dropping homage is so post-modern and tongue-in-cheek, I can’t imagine Wale doesn’t have some kind of arrangement with the Kingdom that Swoosh built. We’re gonna get to the bottom of it! Remember when Grand Puba used to call out Hilfiger cuz he was the first to rock the white bread label and claim it sincerely?
